Crocheted granny square motifs have so many possibilities and they are a blast to make. It\u2019s fun to take a bunch of color combinations and try them together to make something utterly unique. The Daisy Granny Square is a crocheted motif that has a 3D element \u2013 it looks like the flowers are really popping off the granny square. Mister Domestic is using 3 colors for his granny square. He works the motif as follows:<\/p>\n
Leaving a 6-inch tail, create a magic ring with color 1.<\/p>\n
Round 1: With color 1, ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into ring and pull tail to close ring. Sl st in top of beg ch-3 to join. Fasten off. 12 dc<\/p>\n
Round 2: Sl st to join color 2, beg popcorn in first st, ch 2, [popcorn, ch 2] around. Sl st in top of beg popcorn to join. Fasten off. 12 popcorn total.<\/p>\n
Round 3: Sl st in ch-sp to join color 3, ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in first ch-sp, [ (ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-sp) twice, ch 1 (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-sp] 3 times, (ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-sp) twice, ch 1, 3 dc beg ch-sp, ch 2, sl st in top of beg ch-3 to join.<\/p>\n
Round 4: Continuing with color 3, ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), [(3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1) to ch-2 sp, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ch-2 sp, ch 1] 3 times, (3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1) to beg ch-2 sp, 3 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in beg ch-sp, sl st in third ch of beg ch to join. Fasten off.<\/p>\n
